1. 뒤에서 명사를 꾸며주는 to부정사

# to부정사의 형용사적 용법의 위치는 '명사+to부정사'

 -  someone to help

    I need someone to help me.

 - 나는 이번 주말에 해야 할 일이 많아.

    I have a lot of things to do this weekend.

 - 난 너에게 할 말이 있어. (말 할 것이 있어)

    I have something to tell you.

 - 서울에는 관광할 아름다운 곳이 많이 있습니다.

    There are many beautiful place to visit in Seoul.

 

2.'~하기위해' 목적을 나타내는 to부정사

# 동사의 뒤에서 동사의 목적(~하기위해)을 표현.

 - 그는 시험에 합격하기 위해 열심히 공부했다.

    He studied very hard to pass the test.

 - 수하물 찾으러 왔습니다.

    I'm here to pick up a package.

 - 구조팀은 그녀를 구하기 위해 최선을 다했습니다.

    The rescue teamdid their best to save her.

 

3. '~해서,~하다니'라고 이유를 나타내는 to부정사

# I'm sorry to be late. 'sorry'의 이유를 'to이하에서 설명.

 - 너를 여기서 보게되 놀랐어.

    I'm suprised to see you here.

 - 너와 함께 있어서 행복해.

    I'm happy to be with you.

 - 그녀가 안전하다는 소식을 듣고 안심했어.

    I was relieved to hear that she was safe.

Q1. 그는 같이 얘기할 친구가 없어. (~와 같이 얘기하다 talk to~)

# to부정사의 형용사적 용법 (뒤에서 N을 수식)

 1) N + to R + O : O를/O에게 R하는/할 N

      water to drink

      clothes to wear

      food to eat

     He has the ability to write music.

     I have something to tell you.

     I need a chair to sit on.

     I need someone to help me.

 2) be V + to R : 예정,의무,가능,운영

     예정: We will(=be going to) have a party tonight.

           We are having(=to have) a party tonight.

     의무: Drivers must fasten their seat belts.

           Drivers are to fasten their seat belts.

      

# to부정사의 부사적 용법 : 목적, 이유, 원인

 1) 목적 (~하기 위해서) to R = in order to R = so as to R

     You have to confirm these figures to make sure.

     We study hard to pass the exam.

 2) 이유,원인 (~하다니, ~해서, ~하게 되어서)

     I am happy (for him) to show up all of a sudden. (갑자기 나타나서)

     I am glad to meet my friend.

        감정표현 형용사+ to R부정사 R~해서(하기때문에) ~형용사~한 감정이야

        suprised/happy/released

     I was surprised to get good marks.
